The Adamawa All Progressives Party state working committee (SWC) through its Legal adviser,Barr Shagnah Pwamaddi Maboyefo has frowned at the decision of Ganye LGA Party stakeholders who announced the endorsement of Alhaji Hamidu Gangneksumen as the acting chairman of the party local council.
Barrister Shagnah in an interview was quoted drawing the attention of the stakeholders who organized the purported endorsement that lacks the merits of the party constitution.
He said the entire leadership of the state officials have faulted such an endorsement as illegal and a gross violation of the constitution of the party.
Shagnah further stressed that the party at the Local Government level lacks the powers to endorsed any other person,in the case of chairman vacant position the Vice Chairman who automatically becomes the Acting Chairman on whatever ground and pending on the consideration of the matter by the state Working Committee.
“We the State working committee through the Legal Adviser condemned the endorsement and the persons behind as an affront on the constitutional authority of the leadership of the party” Shagnah said.
Also the State organizing secretary of the Party,Alhaji Ahmad Lawan condemned the decision of the Ganye APC loyalists to have an undermining tendencies of destroying the Party at the grassroots.
Lawan said as a matter of urgent the purporters of that kangaroo endorsement should publicly apologize to all Party faithfuls and tow the party of obeying the party constitution.
