ADAMAWA APC, SYNERGY GROUP HOLDS BANQUET IN HONOUR OF EX-SGF BOSS

On Friday, 15 July 2023, the Mr. Synergy Group alongside the Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressive Congress held a mega historical Banquet in Honour of the immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Barr. Boss Mustapha, NPoN, CFR for the well deserved tenure and service well rendered to the nation as the SGF.

The spectacular event titled, “Banquet in Honour of Boss Mustapha for Successful Tenure” was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life from across the country and was rated as the best programme ever organized by the Group and the Party.

Amongst the notable personalities that were in attendance include the State Acting Chairman of the APC, chieftains, stakeholders, top government officials, security chiefs, executives of Mr. Synergy Group, the Boss’ Advocates and loyalists, family members, friends and wellwishers.

The Banquet started at exactly 16:00hrs following the arrival of the celebrant, Boss Mustapha CFR and his entourage.

They were gracefully ushered to the well decorated venue which was filled to it’s capacity by galaxies of well meaning individuals in a flamboyant atmosphere.

As customary, the event commenced with an opening prayer and national anthem.

The Converner and Host of the event, Comrade Musa Usman Terrang (Jagaba Kunliyi) declared the program open with a heart-touching welcome address and reaffirmed the Group’s unwavering loyalty and solidarity to their principal, Boss Mustapha. He said, “Your Excellencies, Ladies and gentlemen, this Banquet in honor of our amiable celebrant BARR. BOSS MUSTAPHA and was specially conceived to appreciate and thank him for the illustrious service rendered to our dear nation – Nigeria without disappointing us and to also thank you for giving back to our community, enormous developments” said Terrang.

He further extolled the altruistic virtues of the former SGF as a father, a mentor, a life coach, a very successful administrator, an elder stateman and a multi-service award recipient and a nationalist who distinguished himself as a true symbol of excellence, stressing that Nigeria would have missed alot had Boss Mustapha optioned to reject the appointment in the first place.

Further more, he stated that the former SGF was instrumental to many developmental projects executed in Adamawa state, that he has secured employment opportunities to many young people in federal civil service across MDA, provided financial support for SME, empowerments and number of other salient achievements to mention but a few.

The Jagaban Kunliyi, (Comrade Musa Terrang) said they will forever remain indebted to the former SGF for his mentorship and guidance and also thanked members of the Group and the Party for all the support thus far.

He further enjoined other politicians across the country to follow in the footprint of Boss Mustapha.

Speaking at the event was the Chairman of the occasion who is the current National Vice Chairman of the APC, Comrade Mustapha Salihu Ph.D, (Sa’i Adamawa) ably represented by Dr. Raymond Chidama, the State Secretary of the APC, commended the group for organizing such a mega event stressing that the party in the State has enjoyed alot from the former SGF including payment of rents to the State secretariat for over the years, salaries of staff working at the party secretariat amongst others.

The program was full of dance, eating and razz-ma-tazz for the celebrant and the dignitaries.

The gathering was thrilled by unique fulani dance and music interludes featuring upcoming artists in honour of the Ex-SGF.

The highlights of the events was also the presentation of medal of honour, award for excellence in service and a token gift to the former SGF to the well deserved job rendered.

In making it spectacular, during the presentation, the celebrant was invited to the podium and made to stand while his rich citation was read by Hon. Mohammed Abdullahi, the State PRO of the party.

Thereafter, the Converner of the event presented the medal of honor to the celebrant.

Comrade Terrang who believed in the strength of unity, sort for the assistance of all the members of the Synergy Group with whom they collectively presented the awards.

For participatory, dignitaries at the high table and all the State APC party officials were invited to present award and together cut the blossom cake and toast for long life and prosperity was made by Hon. Halima Hayatu former Adamawa State Commissioner for Women Affairs an action that elicited for a cheerful applause from the audience.

Similarly, two other awards were presented to Dr. Nuhu Ismail Maksha MFR, the acting Executive Director Operations of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) a distinguished and veteran medical practitioner who has always identified with the group for his recent presidential national honour as Member of the Federal Republic (MFR).

The second honorary recipient at the event was Mrs Debney Shall-Holma, a maritime expert with decades of professional service that was honored by President Muhammadu Buhari as Officer of the Order of Niger, OON was also felicitated by the Group.

In his remarks, the celebrant, Boss Mustapha who was deeply in joy and full of excitement and gratitude, thanked Mr. Synergy Group, APC and the Converner for the banquet in his honour and pledged to commit more time to the future activities of the group most especially now that he has more free time.

He recalled that his political struggle started at much younger age within the state and nationally where he contributed significantly to the development of democracy in Nigeria.

He maintained that the youth have more to offer if given the proper guidance and direction, stressing that media is a good tool nawadays if handled correctly and commended the Synergy Media Group for the media prowess.

He additionally, challenged the youth to embrace the opportunities of the present times and impact to the progress of the nation.

In conclusion, the event was wrapped with the national anthem and series of groups photographs and a closing prayer.
