All Progressives Congress (APC) Party coercion and unity of all party members building to 2023 are some of the issues discussed when a delegation of Adamawa APC national Assembly caucus visited the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Barr Boss Mustapha in Abuja.
The caucus under the delegation of Engr Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani, Senator Representing Adamawa Central,alongside Rt Hon Yusuf Yakubu Buba (Captain), Member House of Representatives for the people of Gombi/Hong, the Representatives of Toungo/Ganye/Jada/Mayobelwa, Rt Hon Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas and Rt Hon Jaafar Magaji Haske who is representing the federal constituency of Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha.
The lawmakers unanimously agreed to stress the need for party’s Unity in the state which is of paramount importance.
During their meeting with the SGF, Senator Binani who spoke on behalf of other members emphasised that Party EXCOS in the state should not be dissolved, but be allowed to finish their tenure as enshrined in the party’s constitution.
According to her the leadership of the party in the state are doing well and should not be disturbed over replacing any or changing them for whatever reason as there are no reasons bordering on disharmony of the party to do that.
“There is no rancour or fight amongs us that will warrant us to do that,what we have to do is to make sure we put ourselves together in unity of purpose to take back our glory in the state.” Binani said
The caucus members were also at the office of the North East National Vice Vice, Professor Mamman Tahir and reiterated their commitment to making sure the party in the state bounce stroner in 2023.
Senator Binani on her own remarks drawn the attention of the National leader of the party representing the state that internal Democracy and respect to all party members should be considered one of the way to reconcile all party members who on one way or the order are aggrieved.
Aishatu also said that their unity with both political electives officers, political office holders and party officials at federal and state levels, all critical stakeholders of the party must come together to forge ahead in one spirit of unity to even take ownership of projects that the federal government is executing in the state.
