The Deputy Speaker Adamawa State Houuse of Assembly Mr Lumsambani Mijah Dilli has announced the reconstitution of the House standing committees during Mondays plenary session with Mr Sunday Peter as Chairman House committee on Information, Sustainable Development Goals and Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation, Mineral Resources and Internally Displaced Persons.
Announcing other Chairmen and members of the committees Deputy Speaker Lumsambani said Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs is to be chaired by Alhassan Hammanjoda of Ganye, while Health and Human Services has Rufa’i Umar Gombi as chairman.
Others are Abubakar Muhammad Maikanti of Fufore Gurin as chairman House committee on Rural Infrastructure and Community Development, and Muhammad Mutawalli of Girei Constituency is to serve as Chairman House committee on Education.
Also announced are committee on rules, Business, Ethics Privileges and public petition with Hayatu Muhammad Atiku of Uba Gaya constituency as its Chairman while Barrister Sani Shehu is to head the committee on judiciary and justice while Ayuba Joseph Kwada was moved to committee on Agriculture and Livestock production.
Safiyanu Aminu Aliyu of Song Constituency is the new chairman House Standing Committee on Public Service, Security and Electoral matters, Sodom Tayedi Daniel of Numan is to chair the committee on Women while Justina Obadiah Nkom has been announced as House committee on Public Accounts as Adamu kwanate of Nasarawo Binyeri is the chairman standing committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity.
Isa Yahya of Maiha retained his Committee on House Services as Abdullahi Umar Yapak of Verre Constituency has been moved to House committee on Planing commission while Former Majority Leader of the House Hassan Mamman Barguma of Hong Constituency is now the Chairman House committee on Border Integration.
Deputy Speaker Lumsambani also announced that Abdulrahman Abubakar Isa of Mubi south is to chair the house committee on Interpaliamentary Affairs while Umar Hammanjoda Farang is to Chiar House committee on Finance Budget and aAppropriation and Adamu Usman of Toungo is to head committee on Housing and Urban Development while Musa Mahmud Kallamu is now the chairman committee Works, Transport and land and survey.
Suleiman Umar Alkali of Yola North Constituency has been moved to Commerce, Industries,Trade and Cooperatives while Saleh Thompson is now the chairman house standing committee on Youth and sports and Emmanuel Tsamdu is the committee chairman on Environment.
After Announcing the committees Deputy Speaker Lumsambani Mijah Dilli charged the newly appointed chairmen to discharge their duties in accordance to the rule of law for the overall development of the State.
