Another feather of godly responsibility was placed on the Adamawa Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman, Dr. Steven Dami Mamza as the newly appointed Bishop Chairman of the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) committee on Missions & Dialogue.

During the weekend, the Adamawa Reverend clergy Man was also nominated as members of Administrative Board CBCN, the highest decision-making body of CBCN.

In a congratulatory message, his staunch supporter and loyalist who was the former national youth president of the Catholic Church, Mr. David Simon Dzalla broke the news of Dami’s new appointment to this medium saying that it’s heartwarming other Bishops have observed his amazing strides in Church work.

“My Lord, my family and I heartily congratulate you on your well-deserved appointment as It is heartwarming to note that even your Brother Bishops found you worthy of this significant assignment.

“As Bishop of Yola and Chairman of CAN, Adamawa State, you have used those privileged positions to build bridges of hope and grant succor to the less privileged especially in an insurgency ravaged place as our state.

“In the heat of the crisis, you willingly converted your Cathedral to an emergency home to the displaced persons and did all within your power bring back life to those affected. You tried to mediate and bring peace beyond religious lines in our state.

“As you are deservedly given the duty to replicate same at the national level, I am confident that you will not look back in deploying your huge wealth of experience and contacts in discharging the onerous duties of this very demanding office.

“We pray the Almighty God to continue to supply with the needed wisdom, contacts, and protection in the course of carrying out your functions in this new assignment.

“Once again, congratulations!” David said
