The People of Lelewalji and Bole communities of Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa state are crying for government urgent attention over their dilapidated roads that is stampeding to the social development of the areas.
The village head of Lelewaji, Maijimila Alhaji Abdulmumuni Abubakar said the deplorable nature of the roads has stunted the growth of the economy activities of the area causing serious lack of social economy activities.
He is pleading to Kabiru Mijinyawa who is representing the area at the state’s House of Assembly to hearken to their long time yearnings for government to come to their succour by constructing and rehabilitating the roads leading to the communities.
“We are lucky to have a working Governor at this time around, who is at the moment linking the state with good roads network,we know if our representatives (Kabiru) will present our case to him our problem will be solved”. He said
According to him once it is rainy season they don’t have rest of mind because of the nature of the roads In those communities.
It becomes hard for them to even go to the Markets of their closest community,reiterating that their children and wards will stop going to school once there is heavy down pour of rain.
“Most a times we lost our wives as a result of hard labour ,as no hospital close to us and the bad nature of our roads will halt the fast movement of vehicles to desire destination thereby resulting to lost of lives “. He added
Comrade Mustapha Abbas one of the concern citizens Of the area said their only hopes is on the Hon. Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly who is representing the area.
“We only know Governor Bindow is working but not in our own community, as it is now the speaker, Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa ought to have push our cry to the Governor but us it’s seems there is no light at the end of the tunnel “.Abbas lamented
