For his good leadership qualities and act of good governance as a Chairman of Maiha Local Government Area (LGA) of Adamawa State, National Youths Council of Nigeria, Norh East zone have decorated Dr Idi Amin with a merit award of excellence.
Idi Amin who is the current Chairman of Maiha LGA for the second time received an icon of Youths in Good Governance who is seen a shining paragon of the younger generation.
On his citation,the National President of NYSC,
Ambassador. Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo said Idi Amin has remain an epitome worthy of imitating by the Youths whose heart of kindness remains an encouragement to them.
The awardee dittoed to remain focus in doing what will bring development to Maiha LGA.
He said the award is an eye opener to him to realise the great task of governing the people.
According to him seven five percent of his cabinet are Youths he called to come and spearhead the council because they cannot continue to be Leaders of tomorrow.
He promised to work with the Youths any time, any moment the opportunity and chance avails itself.
