The impeachment saga looming against the Numan Local Government Council Chairman of Adamawa State, Pharmacist Christopher Sofore by the council members has been averted.
The aversion was made following the intervention of the area critical stakeholders who wade in for understanding among the executive chairman and the Legislative members.

The Legislative council leader, Hon Nzashi Linus in Yola during a press conference with some members of correspondent yesterday’s evening revealed that the development was a decision of the ten legislative council members and have resolved to withdraw their earlier impeachment notice served on the Council Chairman, Hon Christopher Sofore.
The leader in council said the understood the remote crisis was due to communication gap between the Executive and legislative arms of the council and are therefore withdraw the impeachment notice earlier served on the council chairman with immediate effect.
“While we appreciate the intervention of prominent sons and daughters, we have resolved to work with the Executive arm in the interest of peace, Numan LGA and Adamawa state at large.
“We equally call for calm from both sides as the crisis has been amicably addressed.” Linus said
While appreciating the stakeholders for their timely intervention and concerned Adamawa Indigenes who helped in resolving the crisis said Numan Local Government must be seen to be a true reflection of the peaceful posture of our democracy as a voice to the voiceless sons and Daughters of the area.
“We have resolved to ensure that the right thing is done always as Numan is bigger than all of us as a people of the Local Government which is the objective and core value of democracy and the society.
“Our interest is the overall growth and development of Numan and Adamawa State and we would not compromise the peace we currently enjoy.” Linus stated
