An official of All Progressives Congress (APC) who is the National Vice Chairman from the North Vice, Comrade Salihu Mustapha said Senator Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru (Binani) should have stepped down honorably as she claims over her appointment as the Adamawa State Presidential campaign coordinator.
He Aishatu should have not dragged the name of former Governor Murtala Nyako into her political failures
Salihu said the unwarranted statement that she stepped down from being the state coordinator of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima Presidential Campaign because some party members have resulted to attacked the Former Governor is a huge liar.
Salihu revealed that Binani yesterday around 4 p.m. was tendered with a letter from the campaign council urging her to resign because she is no longer a gubernatorial candidate of the party.
According to him the campaign council deem it fit to remove her over the decision of the Federal High Court sitting in Yola where Justice Abdulaziz Anka annulled her candidacy and ordered she should stop parading herself as a candidate.
“It was on this premise that the campaign council relinquished her from being the state coordinator of the Presidential campaign council and appointed Martins Babale as an interim coordinator,” Salihu said
The National leader of the party worried about Binani’s playing on the fast one by going to press with a vindictive press statement not stating the actual reason, or facts of why made her step down.
“This I can authoritatively tell you the presidential campaign council suspended her because she seized to be the Gubernatorial candidate by the court rule of last month at the high court.
” Dragging former Governor Murtala Nyako to her political mess is not we can not take it. Is it now she knows that the respected Elder statesman exists? By this is more of dividing our party and we can’t take it.” Salihu said
