Players and officials of Adamawa United FC robbed at gun point around Benin- Ore expressway last night at about 11.45pm on thier way for their week 11 NPFL fixture againt MFM Fc in Lagos.
Their phones, monies and other valuables taken away by the criminals.
Team driver also abducted in the process, as at press time, he wasn’t seen till now.
A player of the team Sadiq Lawan who was in bus said the incident happened at about 1130pm along Benin Ore road .
” About 8 of them came out from the bush and started shooting into the air, they ordered us out last, took our money and phones”
It was later we found out that our driver was taking away”

As at the time of this report no official statement was made and effort to contact the chairman of the club Mr. Emmanuel Zira to confirm if he has been contacted by the kidnappers failed as he was not picking his.
But the Perm Secretary in the Ministry of Youths and Sports, Alhaji Aliyu Jada confirm the attack also the kidnappers has contacted the team manager and have given 24 hours to produce N50m before the driver will be released.
