The recent appointments done by the Executive Governor of Adamawa state,Rt Hon Ahmadu Fintiri has break the long expected silence of the waited list of aides to his Government.
In a Press statement signed by the Director General Media and communication,Mr Solomon Kumangar revealed that seven out of eleven appointments done by the Governor are a Pastor,lawyers and journalists with the sole aim of managing the image of his government.
Zenald Zidon Love, before now is a pastor with Unity chapel in Yola was appointed to be one of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Fintiri on New Media.
Pastor love as he is widely known on recent time turn a social media influencer by propagating the agenda of the Governor in many social media platforms.
Love is currently an under shepherd Pastor with Unity Chapel,ADSOL estate in Jimeta Adamawa.
Another SSA on New Media is Mohammed B Tukur, along side Pst ZZ Love to agitprop the policy of the government of Fintiri on the social media (New Media).
Fintiri created an office of the electronic media,and the appointment goes to Sheriff Alhassan,a Journalist with Gotel Communication to newspeak the Governor’s image.
Also on the list are Barr Sunday Wugira and Barr Victor Dogo were saddled with responsibility of public affairs and mobilization respectively.
The two lawyers has been in the forefront of his campaign team,dominated the air waves of all the radio and TV stations in Adamawa campaigning for the victory of Governor Fintiri. Their appointments are seen deserving and wisdom by Fintiri led Government.
Mary Adamu a popular NTA reporter Fintiri appointed as Press/information officer to the first lady. The experience of the NTA news broadcaster one may wish to recall that she was the former Press Secretary to the wife of the Governor while on acting capacity in 2014.
While one of the ace broadcaster and a TV Journalist with Gotel communication who put in close to three decades as a reporter,broadcaster,editor and head of news and current affairs,Mr Humwashi Wonosikou has been appointed the Press Secretary of the Governor.
Others are Abdulrahaman Bobboi,Hannatu Kadala,Halilu Malabu and Dr Aminu Ismail Aliyu were respectively appointed as SA and SSA political,Revenue and Banking,Education and Primary Health Care.
It is however a call for concern for the Fintiri led government to inwardly look at the possibility of creating an SSA/SA for Print Media knowing the sensitive and major role they play in sustaining democracy in the country.
