Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa state has assured Corps members deployed to State for the 2018 Batch B national service a peaceful stay and warm reception in all communities the have been post for their primary assignment in the state.
The Governor, represented by his deputy, Engr. Martins Babale at the closing ceremony of the Corps members’ orientation course at Damare Camp today said that people across the state have been sensitized, and are ready to give the Corps members a befitting welcome.
He also said that security has been beefed up around work places and residential areas of Corps members in order to ensure their safety.
He therefore urged the Corps members to feel at home and interact freely with their hosts, while charging them to respect the traditions and customs of the communities.
Earlier in a welcome remark, NYSC Coordinator, Mallam Abubakar Mohammed reported that the Corps members have been of good conduct, to this end, nine of them were given letters of Commendation.
The NYSC helmsman further appealed to the state govment to erect a perimeter fence around the Camp for security reasons, and create more windows on hostels of Corps members and Camp officials in order to improve ventilation.
