The Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, received the nomination of Leader Andrew Leneke from Demsa Local Government Area for screening and confirmation as a Commissioner.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri forwarded the nominee’s name in an official letter addressed to the Assembly, which was read during the plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley.
Leader Andrew Leneke is a legal practitioner and a strong supporter of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration.
Following the presentation of the letter at the hallowed chamber, the Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to invite Leader Leneke to appear before the Assembly on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, alongside his Curriculum Vitae (CV) for the screening exercise.
The nomination is expected to undergo standard legislative scrutiny as part of Governor Fintiri’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the state’s executive team.
