ADAMAWA GOVERNOR SIGNS 2018 APPROPRIATION BILL

The Adamawa state Governor Senator Muhammed Umar Jibrilla Bindow Thursday, signed the 2018 appropriation bill into law.

Speaking at the occasion, Bindow stated that this is the first time in the history of Adamawa state since the return of democratic rule that the budget will be passed and signed in the same year, adding that in the entire federation Adamawa state is the second to sign the 2018 budget after Kaduna state.

The ceremony attracted members of the Adamawa state House of assembly, the judiciary, APC party leaders in the state as well as members of the executive arm of Government.

Bindow ceased the opportunity to pledge strict adherence to the details of the 2018 budget for the benefit of the entire state.

He thanked the people of Adamawa State for standing with his government and also appreciated the legislature as well as the finance and budget ministry for doing a good job.

Speaking earlier, Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Honourable Kabiru Mijinyawa said the Government Senator Bindow is making history been the first time in Adamawa State that an appropriation bill will be signed in December for the financial year to commence in January.

He also stated that their are remarkable changes in the 2018 budget of the state of which the legislators commended.

Mijinyawa stated that the 2017 budget of the state has attained 78% implementation and these is worthy of commendation.

Also at the ceremony are, Senator Silas Zwingina, Ambassador James Barka, and a host of other Adamawa indigenes.
