Adamawa State Government has clarified its position regarding State Polytechnic SPY employment saga that only those employed after October twenty eighteen have their employment revoked.
The State Head of Civil Service Doctor Edgar Amos Sunday who revealed this during a chart with newsmen in his office on Thursday, said the development was base on the reports of the three committees constituted by the government.
Doctor Amos said the committees set up initially by the state government were visitation panel on SPY and committee on general employment in the state and committee on implementation of recommendations of the panels.
The Head of Service added that while those employed before October twenty eighteen remains the purview of management of the Polytechnic to retain those ones that are relevant and transfer those with irrelevant qualification to either post primary schools or the appropriate quarters.
He further said that for those who transferred into the Polytechnic on the basis of waver should go back to where they came from and thereafter the management should advertise vacant positions to interested qualified members of the public in the state.
According to the Head of Service no responsible elected government will whichthunt its citizens, but the decision was taking by the government to sanitise the civil service so as to ensure equity, Justice, productivity and vibrant workforce for the overall interest of the state.
He called on people especially the workers in the state polytechnic to remain calm and peaceful through out the exercise.
