Adamawa govt is ready to facilitate the repatriation of 4000 indigenes from Cameroon

Governor Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state have expressed his ever readiness of the state government to facilitate the repatriation exercise of 4,000 state’s indigenes living in cameroon republic.

The Governor disclosed this when he received the delegation of the Technical Working Group for repatriation of Nigeria refugees in Cameroon in the Council Chamber of Government House, Yola.

He further told the group of constituting a technical committee to support the refugees when they are back home.

Fintiri commended the Group and the Cameronian Authorities for keeping the refugees safe and expressed the willingness of his administration to support the group in the task ahead.

Earlier in her remark, the leader of the delegation who is the Federal Commissioner in charge of National Refugees Commission Hajiya Sadiya Umaru Farouq said the visit was to intimate the Governor on the plan to start repatriating Adamawa refugees in Cameroon.

Hajiya Farouq disclosed that the Technical Working Group will soon start the exercise and appealed to state government to give all the necessary support and assistance for the success of the exercise.

She thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for granting audience to the group and hoped that the exercise will be carried out smoothly.
