Ishaku Elisha Abbo (Cliff) who is the incumbent Senator of Adamawa Northern Senatorial District told all aspirants in All Progressives Congress, APC, and People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to sheath their swords as it will amount to nothing than a waste of time contesting against him.
Abbo make bold to say this when his wife, Jennifer Ishaku Abbo, and his son Cliff Ishaku picked his expression of interest and nomination forms for the office of the senate at the National secretariat of the APC in Abuja, that he will win both the primary and general elections, and return elected as the winner in 2023.
According to him for his wife and son to picked the forms for him was officially confirmed that he will be returning to the Senate for his second term.
He stated his reason for returning to the senate as against running for the office of the Governor in the 2023 elections even after establishing structures and Goodwill in the 21 LGA of Adamawa state is hinged on two reasons.
“Having defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the PDP, I am taking up the role of Party Stabilizer in Chief (SiC) of the APC so that my party will benefit from my campaign organizational skills and knowledge, my political, social, religious, ethnic and social structures, my sound mind and my excess energy to win elections at all levels in 2023 general elections. This way my interest will not work against the party’s interest. I am taking up this leadership role.
” I do not want to build a solid political structure when I am in government house as the Governor. I want to use the 2023 elections to build alliances, raise young leaders that we can work together for some years to come, and be groomed for succession. I want to bring up young people to positions of political leadership both at the party and government levels. “He said
He revealed that the vision he got is in the spirit of the second reason above that is going to set aside hundreds of millions of Naira to sponsor some youths especially those that sincerely gave their all for him in the last two years and proved to be loyal followers.
