Adamawa: Lamido, Gangwari suspend District Heads as one willingly resigns

Their Royal Majesties, Muhammad Barkido Aliyu Mustapha, PhD, the Lamido Adamawa and his counterpart, Gangwari Ganye, Alhaji Umar Adamu Sanda of Ganye Chiefdom has respectively suspended their District Heads.

Dr Barkindo has suspended his district head of Ribadu in Fufore local government area Alhaji Abubakar Gidado Aliyu Ribadu.

No reason was given for the suspension of the removal of the District head, Alhaji Abubakar Gidado Aliyu Ribadu.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Aliyu Ahmad, Sarki Fada Adamawa, Yaro Sarki has been appointed as the Acting District Head of Ribadu with effect from 28/4/2023 as contained in a letter signed by the Secretary Adamawa Emirate Council Alhaji Khalid Kawu.

Sanda has suspended the District Head of Danaba in Jada local government area, Alhaji Dahiru Ma’aji over alleged acts of maladministration.

Consequently, Waziri Danaba, Alhaji Usman Gindau has been appointed to oversee the affairs of the District pending the conclusion of the investigation on the allegations levelled against the suspended District Head, according to a letter signed by Acting Secretary of the Traditional Council.

In another development, the District Head of Mayo-Farang in Mayo-Belwa local government area Alhaji Mustafa Ahmadu has relinquish his appointment as the District Head.A letter, he personally signed dated 28/4/2023 was addressed to the Secretary Adamawa Emirate Council, but did not stated breathe for the resignation.

You may wish to recall that the District Head was sometimes abducted by Kidnappers and family on two separate occasions at different locations thereby forcing him to relocate to Abuja.
