Adamawa Lawmaker,Hon Rufai Ahmed Gombi has at the wee hours of Saturday escape being kidnapped from the hands of armed men.
The lawmaker who is representing Gombi constituency narrates the ugly experience this morning to our reporter that the men stormed his army barracks road House around 12:30am and rained bullets in the compound.
According to him he saw six men who he suspects to be Fulanis wearing vigilante uniforms threatened to kill him if he do not obey their instructions.
The Gun fire draw the attention of his neighborhood as they have closed them the road leading to his House in an effort to kidnap him.
“I really thank God that no body in my House is hurt only one of my relation staying at the Boys Quarters was molested for him to direct them to my room,we are safe but their mission was deadly, they were damn ready to either kill or kidnap me.” He said
An eye-witness and neighbor to Rufai revealed that the Men he saw outside the compound of the lawmaker are more than ten well armed Men.
He is calling on security agencies to beef up their work of protecting lives and property as the level of crimes is increasing on their basis.
You can recall that the metropolitan towns of Adamawa state has been under the ravaged activities of kidnappers in recent times, haven kidnapped two professors demanding millions of Naira to secure their release.
