Perturbed by the low internally generated revenue (IGR) of Adamawa state, the member representing Mubi North in the State House of Assembly, Hon Shuaibu Musa vowed to increase the revenue coming into the coffers of the state on monthly basis.
Musa who is the Chairman standing committee on commerce and industry of the Assembly during an interview with Tgnews revealed that he had a meeting with permanent secretaries,Directors of concern ministries to begin to work together increase the IGR of the state.
He worried that the state’s IGR is nothing to write home about comparing the millions of people eyeing government to bring development to their door steps.
Musa call on all revenue generating agencies of the state to be up and doing to Jack up the state’s income.
“No government will work well if there is no enough income coming into the treasury of the state,for this my committee will collaborate with stakeholders who are critical and experts to jack up our IGR in the state .” Musa said
According to him his less than two months in the office pregnant with many of his campaign promises made to the people of his constituency and is focused minded to fulfill them.
He enjoin them to be more patience with the present administration especially the lawmakers who are prepare and ready to begin to create laws that will be having a proportionate direction to their needs
The Vice Chairman committee on health reaffirmed his willingness to bring out laws that will revamp the health sector of the state.
Shuaibu who is well known as Musa Langa Langa belongs to various house standing committees reminded the people of Mubi North of his readiness to give rapt attention to their complains.
