Adamawa Leaders Unite: DG WAPGA, FG Appointees, Elected Officials Break Fast with NSA Ribadu

The Director General of the West African Gas pipeline Authority (WAGPA), Barr Chafari Kanya Hanawa alongside other top Federal Government appointees/political office holders across Party lines from Adamawa State had an interactive session with Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA).

The NSA reassured the delegation of his support in advancing security and development initiatives in Adamawa

Ribadu, hosted an Iftar dinner with the top Adamawa federal government appointees/ Parliamentarians, bringing together key stakeholders from the State across party lines.

The DG, WAGP Authority was among the high-profile individuals at the event, held in Abuja in honour of Nuhu Ribadu and was attended to by over 50 prominent figures, including Minister of Livestock Development, Hon. Mukhtar Idi Maiha; Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Finance, Mrs. Lydia Shehu Jafiya; and Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Prof. Isa Chiroma.

Chafari opened the meeting with a word of prayer from the Christian religion followed by speech from some of the dignitaries present including the APC National Vice Chairman, North-East, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, PhD, who led the delegation for the Unity Iftar. He described the Iftar as a vital step towards fostering collaboration and bridging political and governance gaps among Adamawa’s elected and appointed officials.

“We deeply appreciate the NSA for creating this platform despite his busy schedule. This Iftar will go a long way in strengthening unity among Adamawa stakeholders and promoting a collective vision for the state’s progress,” Salihu stated.

The event also had in attendance, top government functionaries, including Hon. Yusuf Buba, CEO of Nigeria Technical Aid Corps; one of the coordinators of the program, Prof. Yusuf Ribadu, Executive Secretary of NUC; Hajiya Hafsatu Abubakar Bakari, CEO of NFIU; Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani, CEO of PTDF; and Dr. Abdulhamid Dembo, Director-General of NTA.

Addressing the gathering, the NSA emphasized the importance of collaboration in governance, reassuring them of his support in advancing security and development initiatives in Adamawa and beyond.

He also reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening national security and economic prosperity.

Ribadu said, “I remain dedicated to supporting Adamawa State’s development, and I assure you of the President’s resolve to enhance governance and improve the welfare of all Nigerians,”

The Iftar, attended by senators, House of Representatives members, state assembly members, and party executives seek for strategic collaboration between the Adamawa indigenes as panacea to driving sustainable progress for the state and the nation at large.
