Adamawa: Madagali Youths pass a vote of no confidence on PDP govt

The Youths of Adamawa State in their numbers have come together under one voice and passed a vote of no confidence on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) government over what they described as marginalization by the party.

The Youth who are from Shuwa, an area of Madagali Local Government converged on Saturday, had a town hall meeting at Shuwa’s Central primary school in coalition form cutting across all political party and said PDP has failed them under the current leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

In separate interviews with some of the leaders of the group granted to this medium, they recounted a glaring total hatred for Shuwa town under the PDP regime.

Emmanuel Silbai addressed the Mammoth crowd lamented how Shuwa town has been neglected for political reasons despite having a Governor coming from the local Governments, came together to have every concerned Youth express their opinions or views to charting a common course toward development.

Emmanuel in a lamentable voice said the four years of PDP Shuwa town has nothing to boast of as an achievement from the party.

He said the driven force of the #notooyoungtorun campaign by the Youth across the country has placed the Shuwa’s Youth on a cross and difficult road to be in direct opposite demands with their elder statesmen to fight for their destinies.

According to him, they must come together in the spirit of unity before they can liberate themselves from what he described “Senseless marginalization” of Shuwa, their beloved town.

Another Youth who had enough time having the podium, Alh Musa Shuwa AKA Drogba told the Young and visionary youths that both PDP and APC have failed the community despite its political potential as the second-largest ward in Madagali LGA after Gulak.

“Despite our enormous potential, the PDP government in Adamawa rewarded our entire community with just an ordinary special adviser (SA) and senior special assistance (SSA), a very inconsequential position that can’t influence anything talk more of providing job opportunities for us.

” We can not be boasting of hundred thousand naira project in this community, PDP always assured our stakeholders of a Chairmanship position, but when it is time to do that the party will bring all sort of sentiments to deny us the opportunity.

“This government have diverted a 3 kilometers road which was initially awarded to Madagali town when the contractor rejected doing for security reasons instead of doing it in Shuwa, the next-door town for development. We have gathered here to do nothing rather than to pass a vote of no confidence on PDP.

“With this therefore we declare Shuwa a Zero PDP area until the status is changed”. Musa said
