It was tones of condolence messages and people from all parts of Adamawa thronged to the House of Alhaji Usman Biri (Farare), a political ally of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who lost his wife, Zainabu in a ghastly motor accident on their way to Maiduguri from Yola.
The sympathizers in their hundreds have been visiting the house Since yesterday offering prayers of mercy and God to grant the soul of Zainabu eternal rest in paradise in mourning mode trooping.
Governor Fintiri who is outside the state for official engagement but his friends and well-wishers in the corridor of power of the Adamawa State government are praying and sympathizing with Biri.
Commissioners, Advisers, and Senior Special Assistants (SSA) have been visiting the house to commiserate with Biri Farare, Zainabu’s husband.
Our Correspondent who paid tribute to Zainabu and condoled Biri Farare saw some Adamawa illustrious Sons like the Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University (MAU) Yola, Professor Liman Abdullahi Tukur, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Adamawa State Organizing Secretary, Alhaji Hamza Madagali, Alhaji Buba Shafani, Alhaji Dahiru Bobboi, and Ibrahim Mijinyawa.
Zainabu whose death occurred along the Patiskum-Maiduri road in a Toyota red car with the registration number; Adamawa SHG-120MM was since buried according to Islamic injunctions.
The three-day prayers of late Zainabu are expected to be held on Tuesday 27th February in the morning at the residence of Biri Farare opposite Police Barracks Jimeta -Yola.
