Adamawa NIPR holds Congress, strives for membership drive

The Nigeria Institute of Public Relationship held it’s 2023 congress meeting in Yola Adamawa State capital on 25th November. The professional body of the Public Relations.

Practitioners at the congress under the chairmanship of Mr Usman Ahmad Dada discussed on how best the organization can shape the future of public relations in adamawa state.

Aligning with the doggedness of the new leadership of the NIPR at the national level the state chapter discussed on membership drive and how to insist on professionalism in the practice of PR which they all agree is a very vital part of the society.

In order to remove non-professionals and quacks from the PR circle in Adamawa State, the chapter calls on the government bodies and MDAs to ensure that their Public Relations handlers are dully registered with the NIPR in the state.

The state chapter has set in place a mechanism to promote professionalism in PR matters in Adamawa State.

The Congress also discussed the intention of the national PR body to publish the second edition of the Register of Public Relations Practitioners in Nigeria which will be circulated on the official website of the institute for public viewing and circulated widely to employers and the general public with the view to identifying genuine PR Practitioners in Nigeria.

At the end of the meeting the chapter agreed to conclude plans to celebrate and recognize some of its members who have been elevated in the society in their various endeavours.
