Adamawa NLC Sec emerge JPSNC new Chairman as Tuki retires from active service

Dr. Nyalas Batholomew, the secretary Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Adamawa state has emerged as Chairman, Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council (JPSNC) Trade Union side.

The emergence of Dr. Nyalas Batholomew follows the retirement of the former state Chairman, Comrade Mohammed Tuki from civil service.

Other officials elected through consensus are; Comrade Nasiru Babale, Vice-Chairman, Usman Babbada as secretary, Luka Chafari, Assistant Secretary, and Ahmed Jara as Treasurer.

Announcing the results, the Returning Officer, Comrade Nuhu Dadi who is also the Deputy General Secretary of the Union urged them to carry everybody alone in discharging their duties.

The Head of service Adamawa State, Dr. Edgar Amos who was flanked by the NLC Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Fashe, equally charged the new leadership to take responsibility for the struggle ahead of them.

He lauded the organized Labour for the harmonious working relationship with the Adamawa State Government.

Responding, the new Chairman of JPSNC, Comrade Batholomew NYALAS said, the EXCO will be a galvanizing point for Social bargaining, promotion, minimum wage for local government employees, gratuities, leave transport grant and other welfare of civil servants.

He thanked the members for given them the mandate to serve as Executives.
