Jeremiah Stephen 24 years old who specializes in making fake transfers of money upon purchased of goods to unsuspected victims or withdrawal from POS has been arrested by the operatives of the National Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Michika division.
During an interrogation by the Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC State Command DSC Amidu Nyako, the suspect confessed to swindling people amounting to Five hundred thousand naira (N500,000.00) in Michika and Yola metropolis.

According to the suspect, he was forced into the crime due to his medical condition and pledged not to return to the act again and advised those who are nursing to involve in the act to desist as cheating does not pay.
Reacting, PRO NSCDC State Command, DSC Amidu Nyako while commending the efforts of the Michika Divisional Officer of the Corps, DSC Hajara Usman for apprehending the suspect, called on businessmen and POS operators to be cross-check any transfer of money into their account before releasing goods and make any payment for customer
He said the State Commandant of the Corps, Ibrahim Mainasara has directed thorough investigation for prosecution of the suspect.
