Adamawa NUJ honours CAN Chairman, Bishop Dami with Peace Award

The Nigerian Union Of Journalists, Adamawa State Chapter has presented award of peace building to Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza, CAN Chairman Adamawa

Presenting the award by the Chairman of Nuj comrade Ishaka Dedan, describes Bishop Mamza as a true leader that is worthy of emulation

Dedan, said Bishop Mamzas’ selection was unanimously agreed by the leadership of Nuj, added that, looking at his contribution towards sustaining and enhancing peaceful coexistence in the State

The Nuj Chairman disclosed that Journalists are the watch dog of the society and they are watching with keen interest the activities of Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza in touching the lives of the internally Displaced Persons and the people leaving with the disability. Urging other religious leaders to emulate Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza so that the society

While the accepting the award, Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza expressed his deepest appreciation to all Journalists in Adamawa state for finding him Worthy of the award

According to Bishop Mamza, the society can’t exist without journalists, thereby calling on all Journalists to be objective in their reportage, calling on them to avoid from personalising issues because they vital role in uniting the society

Bishop Mamza, made it clear to the Nuj leadership that he has rejected over sixty awards, as these days awards are just for giving sake, but accepted the Nuj award because they work hand in hand in bringing sanity to the society
