ADAMAWA NUJ MOURNS CHIEF MATHIAS,TO HOIST FLAG HALF-MAST FOR THREE DAYS

The Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ) Adamawa State council has received with great shock, the news of the death of father of Journalism in the state and of course the country at large, Chief Timawus Mathias whose sad event occurred on Friday,9th September 2022.

Being a reservoir of knowledge,Chief Timawus death which also coincided with the death of queen Elizabeth 11 shows that his exit would forever be remembered in the history of Broadcast Journalism in the country as he wrote his name in gold in this well cherished profession of Journalism.

A versatile but astute orator and columnist with proven laurels in music craft,drama, media consultancy in renowned National Televisions and Newspapers.

Indeed,it’s a solemn moment for practicing Journalists in Adamawa State and the council declares three days mourning period in Adamawa State while the flag will be hoisted half-mast with effect from Saturday 10th to Monday 13th September 2022 as a mark of honour to the late Veteran.

The NUJ extends it’s heartfelt condolences to HRM, Hama Bachama,Dr.Daniel Shaga Ismail( OON Kpawo Nomwe Gilongo Diya) and the entire kingdom.
