Adamawa Pays Tribute as Mrs. Alice Shadrach, Sister of WAGPA DG, Is Laid to Rest July 16

The family of the late Mrs. Alice Nwachukwu Shadrach has announced the burial arrangements for their beloved daughter, wife, sister, and friend, whose passing has drawn condolences from family members, friends, associates, and well-wishers across Adamawa State and beyond.

‎Mrs. Alice Nwachukwu Shadrach, who was the sister of the Director-General of the West African Gas Pipeline Authority (WAGPA), Barr. Chafari Shadrach Hanawa, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

‎In a funeral notice released by the family, relatives, colleagues, and members of the public were invited to join in celebrating her life and paying their final respects.

‎According to the burial programme, the remains of the deceased will arrive at the Yola International Airport from Abuja on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 4:35 p.m., before being conveyed to the Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital Mortuary, Yola.

‎Funeral activities will continue on Thursday, July 16, 2026, with the departure of the remains from the mortuary at 8:00 a.m. for a brief lying-in-state at the family compound in Garaha, Hong local government area.

‎The funeral service is scheduled to hold at LCCN No. 1 Church, Garaha, after which interment will take place at the Garaha Cemetery in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

‎Family members described the late Alice as a caring and compassionate woman whose life touched many people through her kindness, warmth, and devotion to family and community.

‎The announcement has elicited an outpouring of sympathy from friends, associates, and community leaders, many of whom have extended their condolences to Barr. Chafari Shadrach Hanawa and the entire Hanawa family during this difficult period.

‎In the funeral notice signed on behalf of the family by Dr. Habert Rufus Hanawa, the family expressed gratitude for the support and prayers received since the passing of their loved one.

‎As preparations continue for the final rites, tributes have continued to pour in, celebrating a life remembered for its impact, relationships, and enduring legacy.
