Adamawa PDP suspends Atiku’s loyalist over anti party activities

Goroki’s letter of suspension by Guyuk PDP

The ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State has suspended the reps member representing Guyuk/Shelleng federal constituency in the house of representatives, Hon Gibeon Goroki.

In a letter of suspension dated April 1, 2022 signed by the chairman of Guyuk ward and his secretary, Musa Shabiri and Bala Yawa respectively, the party said the action became expedient to restore discipline in the party.

“Following adequate consultations and deep deliberations on the attitudes of the federal lawmaker, Hon. Gibeon Goroki who hailed from Guyuk ward of Guyuk local government of Adamawa State, the party (PDP) at the Guyuk ward level decided unanimously in an emergency working committee meeting today been 01/04/2022 to suspend him from the party on the basis of insubordination to the party leadership.

“Hence he is not allowed to participate in any party activity until he resolved his case,” the statement said

Endorsing and adopting the position of the Guyuk ward, the chairman of PDP in Guyuk local government, Afraimu Dankal in a letter he jointly signed with the secretary of the party, Peter Dadureju, acknowledged the suspension of the lawmaker from the party

The chairman however noted that the suspension may be reversed if the lawmaker took a detour and tender suitable penitence.

“Your suspension from the party may be looked into only if you comply with the under listed conditions.

“You must present a written apology to the party. You must come out in the media to apologize on your previous statement. You must pledge from the point of apology to be loyal and law abiding to the party leadership,” the chairman said

Also commending the stakeholders of Guyuk ward, Mr. Solomon Abafras the caretaker chairman of Guyuk local government said party supremacy must be upheld against any erring member no matter his status.

He expressed support for the resolution reached by the working committee meeting noting that it will serve as deterrence against future occurrence of such ugly developments.

A member of the party who does not want to be qouted said the lawmaker has been found wanton for committing myriads of infractions which made his matter to worsen.

” The lawmaker never attend any meeting of the party at both ward, LG and state levels. He has also been abusing the party leader to no avail and also comparing PDP government with the past administration which was the worst government in the history of Adamawa. He has also been making statements that will affect the fortunes of the Party, and several offensive comments, contrary to the provisions of chapter 58(1), which is punishable under Chapter 59(1) of our party,” he said.

Goroki who publicly declared his royalty to former vice president Atiku Abubkar told this medium that his suspension is was majorly on the Pandora’s Box he opened telling the truth in the interest of PDP in the state
