Prayers for the peace and security in Adamawa state and the country dominates the activities of 2018 local government pilgrims in the Holy land of Israel.
Burdened with the need for a turn around in the socio- economic lives of people and state, the pilgrims led by the executive secretary Mr Joshua Atiku turned every site visited into seeking Divine favour and wisdom upon Governor of the state and cabinet to continue with the good works of transforming the state for the benefit of all.
Joshua Atiku reminded pilgrims of the need to always pray for leaders and encourage them to do better their best stating that development is a collective responsibility.
The pilgrims who were taken round some historic sites couldn’t hold back their emotions as they connect with the reality of Gods words as read from the Bible.
In most of the places visited the pilgrims engaged in deep spiritual meditation and supplication for a reawakening of their souls and spirit.
Some of the places visited include , mount Olive,Shepard field, church of Nativity where Jesus was born and the oldest in the world and garden of Gesemene in Bethlehem and Jericho respectively.
Some of the pilgrims spoken to applauded the the Executive secretary of the board for excellent arrangement at the holy land.
The executive Secretary Christian pilgrims welfare board Joshua Atiku says the so far the spiritual exercise is meeting the expectations of pilgrims and authority concern.
The pilgrims have moved to Nazareth after spending two days in Jerusalem.
