Adamawa Police Arraign 23 Suspects Over Criminal Activities in Mubi Crackdown

The Adamawa State Police Command has arraigned 23 out of 73 suspects arrested during a joint security operation in Mubi and surrounding communities over alleged involvement in various criminal offences.

According to the Command, preliminary investigations linked the suspects to violent crimes and other criminal activities across the state. Police authorities disclosed that some of those arrested were already on the Command’s wanted list before the operation was carried out.

In a statement issued on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Command said the indicted suspects had been charged before a competent court for prosecution, while investigations continue to track down other fleeing members of the criminal syndicates.

The statement noted that security operatives were intensifying efforts to dismantle criminal networks connected to the suspects and restore public safety in the affected areas.

Reacting to the development, the Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining ongoing operations aimed at flushing out criminal elements across the state.

The police boss also commended residents for their cooperation and credible intelligence, urging members of the public to remain vigilant, security conscious, and law-abiding as security agencies continue efforts to combat crime in the state.

The operation, which was conducted in Mubi and its environs, forms part of intensified security measures by law enforcement agencies to curb criminal activities in Adamawa State.
