Adamawa police arrest woman for stealing bags of Soya Beans belonging to Guardian Correspondent

The Adamawa police on Saturday arrested one Mama kalifa over missing five bags of soya beans belonging to The Guardian correspondent Prince Emmanuel Ande .

The Police early on Friday arrested one Goodwin an underaged thief who was handed over to the police by his elder sister.

Godwin who confessed before his parents before his sister took him to the State Criminal Investigating Department (CID) told the police that it took him several weeks to take the soya beans in batches to Mama kalifa who paid him little money after delivery.

He said that he was carrying our the criminal act on instructions of Mama kalifa, who’s son kalifa is also his friend.

When Mama kalifa was arrested she admitted committing the crime and beg the journalist to reduce cost for payment which is over one hundred thousand naira.

However,the journalist rejected the plead on the ground that she always engaged in stealing and using underaged children to steal for her.

She will be charged to Court on Tuesday next week if she fails to provide the money for the five bags.
