Adamawa Police command arrests Finland vulture, Experts to Arrives Yola for further investigation

A team of expert from Nigeria Conservation Foundation (NCF) is expected in Yola, the Adamawa state capital to monitor the vulture arrested and detained by the Adamawa state police command

The team include veterinary doctors, are to ensure the safety and proper upkeep of the endangered bird, in police custody in the last five days now.
NCF established in 1990 is Africa’s prominent and most-diverse urban Nature Parks, due to its high species richnese in pursuance of conservation of nature and its resources.

SP Othman Abubakar, Adamawa state Police spokesman said the team led by Simon Onoja, would liaise with the CID department for support to the vulture.
Abubakar confirmed that, the bird is in good condition, awaiting the arrival of the conservation expert tomorrow, to take over the custody of the endangered bird.

He further said, the police has acquired search warrant to deploy detective to search the residence of the owner of the vulture in Maiha, alleged to have been involved in fictitious rituals.

The Police Imagemaker said (Rukaiya), the owner of the vulture, would be charged to court, as soon as investigation in to the matter is concluded.

Rukaiyatu Salihu (40) owner of the vulture, her husband and three sons, whose faith could not been be established were alleged to have been deeply involved in rituals activities for over 30 years at the same house.
The husband of the vulture owner in prison custody, was charged for culpable homicides for administering witchcraft concoction on a woman.

Meanwhile, people are trooping to Jimeta Amusemnet park in the state capital to catçh a glimse on the Eagle caught by a fsherman that travelled from Finland, to the bank of river Benue in the state in January this year.
