Adamawa Police command presents N19.7M checks to 20 deceased officers next of kins

The Commissioner of Police, CP, Afolabi Babatola, has presented cheques to cover Insurance benefits to the next-of-kins of officers who paid the supreme price as well as those who have suffered permanent deformities in the course of discharging their lawful duties.

The cheques, which were presented to Twenty (20) families of deceased officers and those injured or rendered disabled in the line of duty, captured under the Group Life Assurance 2022/2023 Policy Year amounts to Nineteen Million, Seven Hundred and Thirty-two Thousand, One Hundred and Seventy-Six Naira, Twelve Kobo (N19, 732,176.12).

While presenting the cheques to beneficiaries, CP Afolabi represented by DCP Morris Dankombo, reiterated that Adamawa State Police Command will promptly fulfill the obligation of providing IGP’s insurance and other benefits to all police personnel who have sacrificed immensely for our beloved country by providing comprehensive welfare support aimed at creating an environment where every officer feels protected, valued and motivated to put in their best in service to the nation.

SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, Anipr, who is the police public relations officers signed a statement that the CP extended IGP’s deepest gratitude to the gallant officers of the Command for their commendable dedication, sacrifice, and unalloyed allegiance to upholding the values of justice and security.
