Following the declaration of restrictions on motorcycle movement by the state government in Viniklang, Federal Housing Estate, Ngurore, Mbaba, Wauru Jabbe, and Yolde Pate communities in Girei, Yola North, and Yola South local government areas.

The Adamawa State Police Command has observed violations of government orders regarding the operation of motorcycles in those areas. People have been seen filtering within these areas with motorcycles disguised as bicycles.

The Command wishes to advise members of the public to desist from using such types of motorcycles and respectfully comply with such orders to ensure public safety, public order, and prevent the breakdown of law and order.

The Commissioner of Police, *CP Dankombo Morris, psc(+),* while reaffirming commitment to ensuring the maintenance of law and order, urges members of the public to respectfully comply with such orders. He equally directed that Divisional Police Officers monitor compliance and enforce non-compliance.

The Command and other security agents, while respecting the rights of citizens, equally urge them to avoid all forms of activities capable of threatening security in the state.

However, the Command will not allow hoodlums and misguided elements to operate with motorcycle(s) unchallenged. The security agents will operate in such a way as to ensuring law takes its course.

The *CP* directs Divisional Police Officers in Viniklang, Shagari, Ngurore, Yola South, Kofare, Yolde Pate, Karewa, Jimeta, Doubeli, Dougirei, Central Motor Traffic Division (CMTD), operational commanders, and their supervisory Area Commanders to immediately enforce the order by apprehending violators and ensuring prosecutions.
