The Adamawa State Police Command has refuted claims circulating on social media that two students of the Federal College of Education, Yola, were beheaded.
Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, described the reports as “fake and false information” aimed at disrupting public peace and creating unnecessary tension.

In a press release signed by Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Command assured the public of its commitment to providing a safe and secure environment. CP Morris has deployed operational assets to hotels and accommodation facilities to monitor and prevent criminal activities, respond promptly to distress calls, and clamp down on any threats to lives and property.
The CP directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations to strategically deploy officers and operational assets around hotels in the state. He emphasized that the presence of police and other security agents is a testament to the Command’s determination to create an enabling and secure environment.
The Adamawa Police Command urged social media bloggers to refrain from spreading misinformation and adhere to extant laws. The public is advised to disregard the fake news and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
