Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a five-man gang of robbery syndicate that has been terrorizing the people of Adamawa and Taraba states.
The suspects made up of Sulaiman Abdulraman Jimeta alias Babajo Son of the Chief of Staff, Government House Yola include Zaharradeen Adamu of Nassarawo quarters Jimeta, Sagir Bala of Jambutu, Adam A. Adams of Numan Road and Aminu Umar of Tudun Wada quarters in Zing Taraba State.

According to the Adamawa State Police Command spokesman, Othman Abubakar (SP), the five suspects along with their accompliances now at large were alleged to hev robbed one Umaru Fali, owner of Hometel Hotel located along Army Barracks road, Jimeta in December, 2015 and made away with his Toyota Avalon Car and $10, 000 Dollars.
The command, added that the same syndicate participated in the robbery of one Bapetel Pariya of German Hospital, Yola in his House also along Army Barracks road of his End of Discussion Honda Car with registration Number FUR 558 AA on the 24th of August, 2016.
He added that following the arrest of the suspects, late last month and subsequent upon their confessional statements, they were all charged to court for armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.
The command however expressed surprise that while four of the suspects are still in detention, one of them, Sulaiman Alias Babajo is working freely on the streets.
