Adamawa Political appointees targets 1000 pregnant Women for free delivery kits

In an effort to consolidate in the gains recording in the Health sector which was placed in the state of emergency by the Executive Governor of Adamawa state, Sen Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindo,a group of political appointees under his adminstration are to donates free delivery kits to one thousand pregnant women.

The gesture is coming by a group known as Yola South All Progressive Appointees from Yola South LGA of Adamawa state.

Abubakar Turaki,PSA to Gov Bindo and leader of the group on an interview said the association is trying to make a deliberate effort to support the government in place that is doing well in reviving the state’s Health sector.

According to him they decided to help pregnant women because of hard labor they normally encounter as a result of child bearing, thereby most a times result to lost of life of either the Mother or the unborn child.

“Still up to now some of Our rural women they don’t go to hospital for child delivery because they cannot afford the hospital bills,some because of ignorance, by doing this we create more awareness and help in ensuring that there is a safe delivery of any pregnant woman in Yola south.” Sahabo Said

He revealed that the first stage of 300 women will be visited soon in Yola Metropolis maternity clinic,and later Namtari,Yuldakohi and Ngurore will be visited with 350 kits each to all the pregnant women.

Chairman of the delivery committee, Mallam Abubakar Sahabo Ahmed and PSA to to the Governor on General matters attach to the office of SSG Said the group will have a monthly organize program for the rural communities in Yola south.

Sahabo said that the kits contained sanitary pads,baby oil,Nightingale, bathing soap and Pampers among many things in a branded bag of Bindo and Martins 2019 reelection pics.
