The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has announced a significant venue change for Adamawa Queens FC, marking a fresh chapter for the team in the 2024/2025 NWFL Premiership season.
In an official letter released today, the club will now play its home matches at Makwada Stadium in Numan, Adamawa State, effective from the second stanza of the season.
The directive, signed by NWFL Chief Operating Officer Modupe Shabi, was addressed to all Premiership clubs, informing them of the immediate transition.

“We are writing to inform you that Adamawa Queens FC will be playing their home matches at Makwada Stadium, Numan, Adamawa State, effective from the second stanza of the 2024/2025 NWFL Premiership season,” the letter stated. This includes the upcoming Match No. 61, where Adamawa Queens FC will face Rivers Angels on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
The move to Makwada Stadium is seen as a strategic step for Adamawa Queens, providing a fresh start for the team under the guidance of Coach Justin Madugu, who also serves as the National Falconets coach.
Madugu, known for his tactical prowess and experience with the Falconets, is expected to leverage the new venue to boost the team’s performance in the competitive Premiership.
The change of scenery could offer a morale lift for the players, who will now have the opportunity to build a strong home advantage in Numan.
