Adamawa: Retired Perm Sec Kumangar Disowns Fake Anti-Salihu Publication, Alleges Political Sabotage

A retired Permanent Secretary in the Adamawa State Ministry of Information and Strategy, Solomon Kumangar, has distanced himself from a social media publication circulating online and falsely attributed to him, which is critical of Comrade Mustapha Salihu’s governorship ambition.

In a personally signed statement, Kumangar categorically denied authoring, approving, or authorising the controversial write-up. He insisted that the content did not emanate from him in any form.

He stated that the publication neither reflects his views nor aligns with his professional conduct and personal relationship with those mentioned in the report.

The former Permanent Secretary further described as impossible the claims that he issued such remarks against Salihu, noting that he maintains a cordial and respectful relationship with the APC chieftain.

To buttress his position, Kumangar recalled that Mustapha served as the unveiler of a book he authored earlier this year, titled Fintiri: The Man They Could Not Stop, during Fintiri’s book launch. He said such a relationship makes the alleged statement unbelievable.

He therefore urged members of the public to disregard the circulating publication in its entirety, describing it as misleading, mischievous, and allegedly recycled for political purposes.

Kumangar also called on media organisations, bloggers, and social media users to exercise caution by verifying information before attributing statements to individuals.

The disclaimer comes amid growing political activities ahead of the 2027 Adamawa governorship contest, where Salihu is being mentioned as a potential contender.
