Senator representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, Rev Binos Dauda Yaroe, has stated that what formed his decision to embark on free medical outreach was borne out of his desire to improve the wellbeing of his constituents that will enhance their living standard and livelihoods.
Stating this in his address at the Opening Ceremony of the grand finale of his free medical outreach held at LCCN Referral Health Centre Demsa LGA on Monday, Senator Binos recalled that the medical outreach which started way back in August 2019, had successfully covered all the nine (9) LGAs of his district where inhabitants from all works of life benefitted.
He pointed out that the great and cherry testimonies that came from the beneficiaries were evident of the fact that many lives had been touched positively.
According to the Peoples’ Senator, his joy lies in the fact that he was able to put smiles on the faces of his constituents via people-oriented programmes, noting that he would do more if given the mandate come 25th February election.
In his words, “This outreach is the grand finale of the exercise which we started in August 2019. We decided to split the grand finale into two to enable people from every nook and cranny of Adamawa South Senatorial Zone to benefit.
“Just recent, we embarked on one of the grand finale in Ganye Chiefdom which was held in Jada LGA. This time, we’ve decided to embark on the exercise here in Demsa LGA for the benefit of people in the Numan Federation”.
While thanking the Adamawa State Government under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for approving the outreach to be conducted, Senator Binos appreciated the leadership of LCCN and the clinic management for allowing the outreach to take place in the clinic.
In his speech, the Archbishop of LCCN and President of Lutheran World Federation, Rt. Rev. Filibus Musa Panti, commended the foresight of Senator Binos Yaroe for seeing the need to improve the health status of his constituents, describing the free medical outreach as the most basic needs of humanity.
Archbishop Panti said that the church was ready to complement the efforts of government in touching the lives of people positively, where he expressed optimism that the free medical outreach would go a long way in enhancing the wellbeing of the masses.
While thanking Senator Binos for choosing LCCN Referral Health Centre for the medical outreach, His Lordship assured the beneficiaries of the church’s prayers as they receive treatment in faith.
Enlightening the beneficiaries, the Head of Medical Team, Dr Dah disclosed that saving of lives and rendering medical services was imperative to the growth of individuals as well as the whole community.
He called on the beneficiaries to be patience with the medical personnel as they came from various hospitals across ten states in the country, adding that they would do everything within their ability and capability to treat all diseases.
Dr Dah revealed that various health services would be rendered during the 5 days outreach such as free consultations, free laboratory test, free surgeries, free medical classes, free abdominal scan, free eye surgeries, free drugs among others.
Also speaking, Chairman of Binos Campaign Team, Mal. Abdulkareem told the audience that Binos Free Medical Outreach was beyond politics as all people have been benefitting irrespective of their political parties, religions or tribes.
While thanking the beneficiaries for availing themselves to be treated, he pointed out that their turnout showed that they had faith and believed in the medical outreach.
Earlier on his Welcome Address, the Executive Chairman of Demsa LGC, Hon. Wesley Fwa, who described health as imperative in the day-to-day activities of people, appreciated the kind gesture of Senator Binos for staging the medical outreach again in Demsa.
While calling on the beneficiaries to give maximum support to the medical personnel in order to enjoy the smooth flow of the exercise during the 5 days, the Demsa Council boss urged them to come out massively during the fast approaching general elections and vote for all PDP candidates for the betterment of the Country, the State and Adamawa South Senatorial Zone.
A cross section of beneficiaries, who spoke to journalists shortly after they were treated, thanked Senator Binos Yaroe for coming to their rescue, assuring him and all PDP candidates of their votes at the polls.
