Senator Representing Adamawa South in the National Assembly, Reverend Binos Dauda Yaroe has held a Town Hall Meeting with people of Demsa where he rolled out his score card to people of the area.
The senator while speaking to journalists after the meeting at the local Government Lodge in Demsa, said the meeting has become necessary to intimate people of his constituency of his duties in the upper chamber.
According to him, the constitutional mandate of a senator is law making and other related issues pointing out that in these areas, he has offered considerate representation.
He expressed delight over the Town Hall Meeting as many people have identified challenges in their location and promised that he will work towards drawing the attention of relevant authorities to addressing these needs.
Senator Binos enumerated some of the ongoing projects undertaken under constituency or personal projects to better the life of the people to include boreholes, electrification, healthcare intervention as well as empowerment.
He noted that he has held similar meeting in Jada, Numan, Mayo Belwa and Demsa and noted that similar meeting will be held in all the nine local government areas in his constituency.
Some of elected representatives of the people of Demsa including Chairman of People’s Democratic Party, Chairman of Demsa local government area, and Commissioner from the area, commended the initiative of the Senator and said the senator has offered considerate representation.
Those from the various wards under Demsa local government area highlighted challenges that need to be attended to, to include provision of portable drinking water, road, electrification as well as healthcare.
