Adamawa speaker announces the composition of House standing committees

The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas has announced the composition of the House standing committees during Wednesday plenary session with Mr Japhet Kefas of Gombi Constituency as Chairman House committee on Information, Sustainable Development Goals and Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation.

Announcing other Chairmen and members of the committees Speaker Iya Abbas said Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs is to be chaired by Mr Nashon Umar Ngubi of Nasarawo Binyeri while Alhaji Hamidu Sajo Lekki of Yola North is to Chair the House Committee on Health and Human Services and Abdullahi Umar Yapak is the Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development.

Others are Alhaji Shaibu Babas of Fufore Gurin as chairman House committee on Public Petition, Alhassan Hammajoda Ganye Rural Infrastructure and Community Development, while Abdullahi Ahmadu of Leko Koma is to serve as Chairman Committee on Agric and Livestock Minority Leader Muhammad Mutawalli of Girei Constituency is the Chairman House committee on Public Accounts and Deputy Speaker Pwamwakaino Mackondo is to head the House Committee on Justice.

Also announced are committee on rules, Business, Ethics and Privileges with Majority Leader Hammantukur Yettisuri of Jada Mbulo constituency as its Chairman, Kate Raymond Mamuno of Demsa Constituency is to Chair the committee on Finance Budget and appropriation while The Chief Whip of the House Mr Ayuba Joseph Kwada is to Serve as House Committee Chairman on State Security and Border Intergration.

While Mr Adwawa Danglock of Guyuk Constituency is the chairman House Standing Committee on Public Service and Electoral matters, Meyandasa Bauna of Lamurde Constituency is to chair the committee on House Services while Alhaji Ibrahim Musa of Mayo Belwa has been announced as chairman standing committee on Transport, Labour,and Productivity while Umar Musa Mbororo of Mubi South Constituency is to serve as Chairman House Standing Committee on Youth and Sports Culture and Tourism.

The Speaker also announced that the Member Representing Mubi North Constituency is to Chair the House Committee on Commerce, Industries,Trade and Cooperatives while Alhaji Abdullahi Umar of Toungo Constituency is to serve as committee chairman on Environment and Solid Minerals and House Committee on Works,Land and Survey has Haruna Jelentikiri of Madagali Constituency as its Chairman.

Also announced are Committee on Interpaliamentary Affairs, Special Duties and Internally Displaced Persons with Alhaji Abubakar Isa of Shelleng Constituency as its Chairman Former Speaker of the House Alhaji Kabiru Mijinyawa is to Chair the House Standing Committee on Planning Commission and Alhaji Isa Yahya of Maiha Constituency is to serve as Chairman Committee on Housing and Urban Development

After Announcing the committees Speaker Aminu charged the newly appointed chairmen to discharge their duties in accordance to the rule of law for the overall development of the State
