In an effort to mark the 25 years of Adamawa State in existence,the state’s Governor, Senator Mohammadu Jibrilla Umaru Bindow has trekked for six kilometers to celebrate the golden jubilee symbolizing peace and calling for Peaceful coexistence in the entire country.
The road work which started off at exactly 6:50am at the Police roundabout Jimeta in company of the Deputy Governor, Engr Marthins Nasir Babale, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Umar Bindir, Head of civil service , Barr Musa Kaibo and the twenty five Commissioners in the state.
Bindow reiterated that the twenty five years (25) of given birth to Adamawa state by the Babangida led Military regime 27th August, 1991 has all course to say a big thanks you to God” for keeping the state intact and peaceful despite insurgency.
He said that there are giants developmental strides recorded by the previous governments that call for celebration but with a Great watersheds of achievements in terms of roads construction in this present regime.
“We thank God for all the good He allows us to witnessed as a state from the past governments since the inception of the state,but special thanks to Him for the great successes recorded by the present government In terms of roads networks within the state capital and the twenty one (21) Local Government Area council (LGA)”. He said
The one hour endurance trekking stop at Doubeli Junction were the Governor order the evacuation of refused dump that encroached the major highway which is linking the northern part of the state. Assuring the people of the state of a clean environment.
