By Comrade Suleiman A. Abubakar
The Adamawa State Fire Service is in a state of despair, and it’s high time Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri takes notice. The offices are dilapidated, equipment is non-functional, and firefighting trucks are in a deplorable condition.
This is a call to action for the governor to prioritize the welfare and effectiveness of the fire service.
The current state of the fire service is alarming, and immediate action is necessary to address these challenges. We humbly advise Governor Fintiri to consider the following measures: purchase New Firefighting Trucks: The current fleet is in a sorry state, and new trucks would significantly enhance response capabilities, employ New Staff: With many qualified young men and women eager to serve, recruiting new personnel would strengthen the fire service.
The people of Adamawa State deserve a functional and effective fire service
capacity Building: Provide regular training and capacity-building programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge, new Office Complex: Construct a modern, well equipped office complex to boost staff morale and provide a conducive working environment.
We urge Governor Fintiri to visit the State Fire Service Office to witness the deplorable conditions firsthand. We are confident that this would prompt him to take swift action.
The Adamawa State Fire Service plays a vital role in protecting lives and property. By investing in the fire service, Governor Fintiri would enhance safety and security, boost staff morale, and provide a better service to the people.
We call on Governor Fintiri to take immediate action to revitalize the Adamawa State Fire Service. The people of Adamawa State deserve a functional and effective fire service.
