Press statement
Gentlemen of the press, with much gratitude to almighty God, I want to thank every one of you for being here today.
On behalf of Adamawa state former councilor’s forum i want to use this medium to congratulate and celebrate his Excellency Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his victory at the Election petition Tribunal.
This is indeed a well deserve and a welcome development to Adamawa state and its citizen’s
As we all know that since the return of Democracy in 1999, we have never witness a rapid development in Adamawa state like what we are experiencing now under the able leadership of his Excellency Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
— Adamawa state have witness infrastructural development such as portable roads across the 21 L.G.A two (2) fly overs which is first of its kind in north east Nigeria being completed in his first tenure and another one is ongoing at Jimeta Mubi round about which has already been fully funded
Dual road construction ongoing from Numan road through Malkoi to A.A Lawal Junction.
The dual road at Jimeta bypass is also on construction, this are few but to mention. The administration has built 1000 housing estate in Malkoi in order to curtail the housing deficit within Yola, the state capital
— Security: – security in Adamawa state has drastically improve to about 95% under the administration of his Excellency Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
The notorious Shella boys have being tamed, we have also enjoy relative peace between farmer’s and headers, kidnapping have been reduce drastically in the state, armed robbery have also been curtailed to the barest minimum all thanks to the people’s governor.
— Education: this is indeed one aspect that our governor have declared state of emergency on his assumption into office as the governor of Adamawa state.
Today we have free education in Adamawa state, our children in public schools do no longer pay WAEC and NECO fees. Most of all the primary and secondary schools in the state have been renovated and well equipped with modern educational facilities and a conducive environment for learning.
Infact Adamawa state have been rated second best in north Easthern Nigeria,
— Health: all the three political zone in the state have new equipped cottage hospital build by his Excellency and in some few selected L.G.A. Our people now enjoy health insurance scheme in the state created by the governor, and more than two thousand health workers have been employed across the state. The age ranging from 65 and above medical bills is free.
— Agricultural: – fertilizer and agro chemicals have been provided to the farmers over the years to boost agricultural productivity. However, some few selected farmers have been trained and equipped with modern technics to improve agriculture in the state.
— Employment: thousands of teachers have been employed in the state to improve the staff strength and professionalism in the system, over two thousand health workers were employed, this is due to the effort of his Excellency in achieving his eight (8) point agenda in transforming the heath sector.
Ladies and gentlemen this administration under the able leadership of his Excellency Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is a blessing to the good people of Adamawa state.
Your Excellency in your administration you made us leaders in various capacity in our various ward and your kind gesture, good heart toward governance in the state is laudable, and we really appreciate it. Our gratitude goes to the almighty God for granting you victory at the appeal court against the SDP governorship candidate. And we are praying and hoping for another victory against the APC governorship candidate in the court of appeal in other to continue the good work you are known for, we are proud to be identify with you sir, and we hope and pray that your second tenure will supersede the first tenure in aspect of development and good governance. Moreover, the Adamawa state councilors forum are solemnly behind you and we are willing to stand by you, come rain, and come sunshine.
