Alhaji Ahmed Lawan, SSA on Peace and Security, emphasized that while peaceful protests are a constitutional right, faceless organizers should reveal themselves to security agencies and seek protection if necessary.

Adamawa State has made significant strides in development under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s leadership. The state boasts impressive road constructions, some of which are considered among Nigeria’s most beautiful. Additionally, the health sector has seen notable improvements with the establishment of cottage hospitals and enhanced healthcare services.

Governor Fintiri has supported entrepreneurs through the #50,000 PAWECA Programme, benefiting thousands of youths, women, and the less privileged. Notably, he was the first governor in Northern Nigeria to implement the National Minimum Wage even before the federal government’s template was available

Lawan appealed to parents, guardians, and religious bodies to advise against participating in protests that could be hijacked by hoodlums, damaging the state’s progress. This call comes as Nigeria prepares for its 64th Independence Day celebration.

We urge citizens to remain peaceful and law-abiding, recognizing the efforts of Governor Fintiri’s administration in transforming Adamawa State
