Adamawa State govt sets to employ over 1,500 teachers

Gov. Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla of Adamawa State has granted approval to the State Post Primary Schools Management Board to employ 1,500 qualified teachers to fill the vacuum created by the activities of Boko Haram in the state.

In a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the State Post Primary Schools Management Board, Yola Alhaji Adamu Danjuma said applicants must be holders of Degrees, PGDE, NCE and Diploma, in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Integrated Science, Economics, Hausa, CRS/IRS.

The statement read in part “Approval has been granted by His Excellency, the Executive Governor for the recruitment of one thousand five hundred (1,500) qualified teachers in the state” .

The activities of the insurgents some years back in the state has resulted into creating a vacuum as many teachers were killed , ohers left the service for greener pastures and some have died.
