Yandang tribe with communities spanned through Adamawa and Taraba state last Saturday honoured Adamawa state Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria ((RIFAN), Special Project Coordinator, Honourable Wafarinyi Theman Dallatu as Ambassador of Yandang Nation.
Theman was decorated during the Yandang cultural day, a special event which attracts home their sons and daughters in and outside the shores of Nigeria by HRH Pst. Haniel Hinlewheni Banti,Dah-Banti one (1), Kpang SANWI of SANWI Chiefdom Sayonti-Mayolope Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State.
While decorating him, the respected Monarch said Dallatu in recent times has added value to Yandang people, especially the Youths through many empowerment programmes.
The occasion brought together the Governors of Adamawa and Taraba States ably represented by Hon. Nashion who is representing Nassarawo- Binyeri constituency, and Hon. Victor Bala Kona, Garkuwan Bakundi, Former PDP Chairman of Taraba State respectively.
Also in attendance, was the Senator representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial zone, Rev Binos Dauda Yoroe and also four members of Taraba state House of Assembly were graced the historic occasion.
Wafarinyi who is also the Secretary of Adamawa State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) in appreciating the people of Yandang with the honour which symbolises him a worthy representative of the people Yandang which he can’t thank them enough.
He revealed that the APC government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari is youths focused as the back bone of every country’s economy, hence the wisdom of creating many empowerment programmes through the central Bank of Nigeria anchor borrowers.
He called on the Youths to seize the many opportunities the Buhari government is providing by involving in getting the loans available for this year’s farming season.
According to him that he owe it all to the President and the youths of Adamawa state for providing the enabling environment to received the honour.
Theman a former Adamawa Lawmaker to have represented Hong constituency alongside his wife were been decorated with the Yandang ragalia and presented to him a staff of honour as an Ambassador.
